Knowing where you came from and what your family’s story is an invaluable treasure. If you make a point of recording and writing down you family story it is something that can be cherished for generations. The focus of these questions is to provide perspective on meeting dating falling in love and marriage.

20 question about the love of your life

Where did you go on dates?
What were the best dates?
Did you often double date?
Where you engaged to anyone else before you married you spouse?
How did you first meet your spouse?
How soon after you meet your spouse did you go on your first date?
What was a typical date you went on with your spouse before you where married?
What dates did you and your spouse go on after you where married?
What was your favorite date?
How long after you started dating your spouse was it before you were married?
Describe your marriage proposal. What were the words? Where did it take place?
What did your parents say when you told them you where engaged?
What was your wedding like?
Describe your wedding clothes. Where any of them made by your friends or family?
What was your wedding ring like? Did the two of you jointly decide on wedding rings?
Who performed your marriage ceremony?
What role did you siblings play in your wedding ceremony?
What role did your closest friends play in your wedding ceremony?
Was there someone who was not at your wedding ceremony that you wish could have been?
Was there anything unique about your wedding?
Did you have a wedding reception? Describe it?
What was the venue for your wedding reception?
What was the food like at your wedding? Did you have a cake?
Was there any entertainment or/music at your wedding?
Did you go on a honeymoon? Describe it.
Where did you first live as a couple? And then where?
What are your children's names, dates and places of birth?
What do you most remember most about the day each of your children were born?
How did you pick your childrens names?

These questions are not designed to be a check list they are designed as a starting point for a conversation. Please ask and answer what ever follow up questions come to mind. Remember that some questions may be awkward to ask or answer but if you do not get that information it may be lost forever.
